   KS COPS Meetings

The next meeting of the Kansas Chapter of COPS is planned for Saturday, May 9th, 2008 in Topeka Kansas, following the annual Kansas Law Enforcement Memorial service. The meeting will take place in the Kansas Highway Patrol Headquarters building at the corner of 7th & Jackson, Topeka.

Friday, May 9th, 2008  is the scheduled date of this year's Kansas Law Enforcement Memorial Service in Topeka.

A reception prior to the ceremony will start at 11 AM on the Second Floor Rotunda of the Capitol. The Memorial service will begin at Noon outside.

The evening before, on Thursday, May 8th, everyone is invited to meet at the Law Enforcement Memorial on the Capitol grounds for the annual Candlelight Vigil. This candlelight vigil is sponsored annually by the Topeka Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary.
 

   NATIONAL POLICE WEEK

In 2008, National Police Week in Washington, D.C., is scheduled for May 12-17th.
