Help honor Kansas Fallen Officers with the Back the Blue license plate! College student Sarah Krawcheck won the design contest for our license plate. She did a fabulous job on it!
Who are these available to?
- Available to anyone in the public.
- Motorcycle Plates are also available.
where can i get one / what is the cost?
- Go to your local DMV and apply for/purchase the plate.
- $70.50 the first year
($30 comes back to KS C.O.P.S.)
- $30 every year thereafter at renewal. That $30 comes directly to KS C.O.P.S. to assist Survivors of Police Line of Duty Death.
how does the plate assist survivors?
- Transportation to C.O.P.S. Hands-On Programs (retreats).
- Transportation and hotel accommodations to Washington D.C. for 1st year survivors.
- Transportation and hotel accommodations to Washington D.C. for KS C.O.P.S. family liaisons to assist first year survivors.
- Survivor events during the year to bring our survivors and their immediate family together for fun and bonding with one another.
- Scholarships for surviving children in college or trade school.
